![]() The lua file will have all the addon’s normal sound files on separate lines. It’s super simple I could do it with zero coding knowledge. Finally, idk the exact name but you’ll need to edit a lua file. ![]() Third, in your addons folder find the sharedmedia_causese addon folder, in there drop your. ![]() Second, get an addon called “Sharedmedia_Causese”. ogg format, if it’s not there are several free browser based converters just google it. Is it a non default sound, as in not included in the base game? I sometimes make these for custom callouts, it’s been awhile so I’ll post what I remember from memory. There can’t be THAT many sounds added in an X.X.5 patch If you can’t find the sound clip by searching it’s name you might be able to find it by filtering by “added in patch: 8.1.5” (when those are added). Just in case you needed that cleared up.Is it a default sound, as in a sound clip included in the base game? If so find the sound on wowhead (they have a section dedicated to sounds), get the sound ID which should be a number, then in the Actions tab-> sound drop down-> soundkit by ID-> enter the number in the box. The crests are the smaller compact versions and the class icons are bigger with a runic plate background. I should probably mention that there are two icon types, the class icon and the class crest. ![]() So you see something flashy is missing, its because you don’t have one of those groups. If its something else unique to the class, I’ll usually have it as its own import string. Otherwise I wouldn’t be sharing the strings with you.Īlmost every class/spec UI setup is composed of 2 paste string groups – 1) the center class sigil and 2) the spell auras. If you get a de-serialization error, then that’s my fault, and I am slacking off cause the aura group is too large, but this won’t happen that much. So you should always delete the old group and its children when replacing stuff, otherwise it will only delete the group name, and rest of the auras will scatter and you have to hunt them down one by one. If you are trying to update an aura with a more recent string, Weak Auras does not do that. Hit Done on the main window, and finish importing the new aura group. Paste the raw text from the string and if it’s working right, you should see a new window appear with an “Import” button. ![]() You should see a bunch of options for what things to make, so hover on down to Import. Next, start up the game and open Weak Auras 2 config by typing /wa and click New. Go to my Pastebin page and find the appropriate string you want Click on the Pastebin link for the class spec and copy the text from the Raw Paste Data field (bottom section). Its important that the art files are in place BEFORE you start the game. Most of the strings should have been updated to not have this issue though.Īlternatively, you can save them where ever you want, and just re-direct each aura to the new location, if you know the basics. *IMPORTANT* If you are using an old import string, you will probably need to change the texture filepath for each custom texture by removing the in front of each path. You will have to create this folder because it won’t exist. tga art files from my dropbox and save them to WorldofWarcraft/interface/addons/Custom UI, other wise Weak Auras can’t find them and you’ll see a bunch of green boxes. Eventually I’ll get around to cleaning up my Dropbox so its easier to navigate (maybe). I’ll try to provide simple and clear instructions how to get things working and which files you will need. So first off, most of these visuals come from Weak Auras 2. ![]()
